What is functional medicine?
Functional medicine looks for the root cause behind your symptoms instead of just managing them one by one. Rather than treating each complaint in isolation, I look at how your body’s systems connect so we can find and address what is actually driving the problem. Learn More
What is Applied Kinesiology (AK) and Systems Health Care (SHC)?
Applied Kinesiology is a system of manual muscle testing I use to see how your nervous system is responding, structurally, chemically, and mentally. I use an advanced form of it called Systems Health Care (SHC) to help identify not just what is off, but where in the body’s priority order to address it first. What conditions do you work with?
Most of what I see falls into a handful of areas: gut issues like SIBO, IBS and leaky gut; thyroid problems including Hashimoto’s; hormone imbalance; autoimmune conditions; chronic fatigue and brain fog; headaches and migraines; chronic infections; and musculoskeletal pain. The common thread is usually someone who has been told their labs are normal but still doesn’t feel right. If you’re not sure whether what you’re dealing with fits, the free 15-minute consult is the easiest way to find out.
Do you work with SIBO, IBS, and other gut issues?
Yes — gut health is one of my main focus areas, including SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), IBS, leaky gut and dysbiosis, along with the bloating, gas, constipation, diarrhea and heartburn that come with them. Gut issues often show up beyond the gut too, so fatigue, brain fog and low mood alongside digestive symptoms are common reasons people come in. About Gut Health & SIBO
Do you work with thyroid conditions like Hashimoto’s?
Yes. Thyroid is another main focus, including hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Part of my approach is running a full thyroid picture rather than TSH alone — total and free T3, free and total T4, plus thyroid peroxidase and thyroglobulin antibodies — all of which are included in my comprehensive panel. About Thyroid Health
Do you work with hormone imbalance?
Yes, including estrogen dominance, PMS and menopausal symptoms, adrenal-related fatigue, and the sleep, mood and energy issues that travel with them. Hormones rarely move in isolation, so I look at them alongside thyroid and adrenal function rather than testing one number by itself. About Hormone Balance
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, I am currently accepting new patients and would love to help you get to the root of your health concerns.
How much does a visit cost?
All visits are billed at $275 per hour.
- New Patient Visit (Adult): 2 hours — $550
- New Patient Visit (Pediatric, under 12): 1 hour — $275
- Follow-Up Visit: 30 minutes (typical) — $137.50, or 1 hour — $275 when more time is needed
Do you take insurance?
I do not take insurance. I do however, provide a superbill upon request so that your insurance company can reimburse you directly depending on your benefits. My rate is dependent on time and not motivated by a menu provided by an insurer. That being said, you can be rest assured that everything done in our time together is because it is what I think is best for the patient. This is detailed further in my office policies provided in my intake forms.
Do you take HSA/FSA?
Yes! We happily accept these tax advantaged accounts as a payment method.
Do you accept CareCredit?
Yes, we accept CareCredit as a payment option.
What kind of lab testing do you use?
Most people start with my Comprehensive Panel — 25 tests in a single draw, around $210 at my lab pricing. It covers a CBC with differential, a comprehensive metabolic panel, Hemoglobin A1c and insulin, a Cardio IQ lipid panel with Apolipoprotein B, Lipoprotein (a), homocysteine and hs-CRP, a full thyroid picture (TSH, total and free T3, free and total T4, plus thyroid peroxidase and thyroglobulin antibodies), iron studies with ferritin, vitamin D and RBC magnesium. The full itemized list and pricing are published on my functional blood work analysis page.
From there I add specialty testing only when your picture calls for it — most often a DUTCH hormone panel, GI-MAP stool analysis, or organic acids testing, plus blood-based add-ons such as a celiac disease panel, Lyme or Epstein-Barr antibodies, NMR lipoprotein fractionation, or expanded sex hormone testing.
Is lab work required?
No, while important to help narrowing down potential issues driving your problems – many times I am able to establish a course of treatment without it. On your initial visit, we will discuss this in detail depending on your individual situation.
Do you see children?
Yes, I see pediatric patients under the age of 12. Let us know their age when scheduling so we can book the right visit length.
How long until I see results, and how often will I need to come in?
Everyone is different, but a common pattern is follow-up visits every 1 to 2 weeks in the beginning while we build momentum and get a clear picture of what is going on. As you improve, visits spread out, moving to every few weeks and then months as we shift into a maintenance and prevention rhythm.
How do you address pain related issues?
Muscle testing is my diagnostic technique of choice to find and address the root cause of your joint pain (shoulder, low back). Since muscle move bones, treating the muscle resolves the bones that routinely need to be adjusted. Learn More
How do you address nutritional issues?
Starting with your first visit, we will go through your personal health history and any lab work to begin developing a list of probable root issues. From there we will narrow it down and create a custom treatment plan specific to you. Learn More
